PURPOSE:To manufacture a hydrogen storage alloy battery having an excellent discharge characteristic by containing two or more phase contained particles in hydrogen storage alloy particles by a specific ratio in a negative electrode of the hydrogen storage alloy battery formed by integrating hydrogen storage alloy powder into a metallic porous body. CONSTITUTION:A hydrogen storage alloy battery is composed of a negative electrode formed by integrating hydrogen storage alloy powder (Ti-Ni type) into a metallic porous body wire gauze, expanded metal and so on), a positive electrode, a separator and electrolyte. At this time, two or more phase contained particles (Zr, V and so on) are contained in hydrogen storage alloy particles of the negative electrode by not less than 50 volume %. Thereby, since a hydrogen storage and release capacity can be heightened, the hydrogen storage alloy battery having high charge and discharge efficiency can be provided. |
