PURPOSE:To send an optical main signal by stimulating a laser diode of an optical main signal transmitter quickly and automatically when a reception of the optical main signal is interrupted and then restored with respect to the optical terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:A signal outputted from the reception of an optical main signal from an opposite station and stopping stimulation of a laser diode when the input of the optical main signal is interrupted is sent to a laser shut-off section 2 and an optical main signal receiver 1 stopping the stimulation of the laser diode used to send the optical main signal of an optical main signal transmitter 3 by the control of the laser shut-off section 2 is provided to the optical terminal station equipment, then a sender side is provided with an optical pilot signal transmitter 5 sending an optical pilot signal through an optical multiplexer 4 with the optical main signal sent from the optical main signal transmitter 3, and a receiver side is provided with an optical pilot signal receiver 8 which uses an optical demultiplexer 6 to separate the sent optical signal into the optical main signal and the optical pilot signal and turns off a contact 7 inserted between the laser shut-off section 2 and the optical main signal transmitter 1 for a prescribed time when the reception of the optical pilot signal is stopped and then restored. |
