PURPOSE:To compact a transmitter and to reduce power consumption by inputting a signal from an operation input part, outputting an electric signal specific for operation from an integrated circuit and projecting an optical signal from a light emitting part based upon a current varied in accordance with the outputted electric signal. CONSTITUTION:When a required key switch(SW) on an input part 2 is depressed once and then depressed for one minute or more in each of the 2nd and 3rd operations, the integrated circuit 31 in a control part 3 successively outputs prescribed electric signals to output terminals A1 to A3. In this case the resistance values of a resistor 40 in an adjusting part 4 become R1+R2+R3, R2+R3 and R3 in accordance with respective output signals, the base current of a transistor(TR) 45 in the light emitting part 5 is successively increased and the light emission volume of a light emitting element 51 is successively increased. Thereby the remote controllable distance of the transmitter 1 to an electric apparatus is successively extended, and if remote operation is impossible only by one depression of the SW 21, the objective remote operation can be attained by depressing the SW 21 two or three times. Consequently the minimum quantity of light emission required can be automatically selected, a power unit can be made compact and power consumption can be reduced. |
