PURPOSE:To constitute a motor controller inexpensively without requiring any insulated current detector by arranging one DC total current detecting means and a DC total current control means between a DC power supply and an inverter unit thereby controlling DC total current and further controlling poly-phase component of current such that output current of inverter unit has a predetermined waveform. CONSTITUTION:The motor controller comprises a DC total current detecting means 11, a DC total current control means 12, an inverter unit 13, and a controller 14, wherein the DC total current detecting means 11 is inserted into a DC power supply circuit and thereby employs a resistor in place of an insulated current detector. A DC total current control means 12 compares a command value generated from the controller 14 with an output from the DC total current detecting means 11 and controls the DC total current to be equal to the command value. The controller 14 creates a PWM signal for producing a poly-phase sinusoidal output current based on the control information of DC total current and externally provided speed command information. The PWM signal thus created is fed to the inverter unit 13 and a DC total current command value is created from inverter control information. |
