The includes a metallic flexible band made of an assembly of connecting spirals (3),connecting bars and lateral plates (4). The lateral plates are passed through in two points by each connecting bar (2). The lateral plates have a main body (5) with a curved edge (6) and an angle (7) parallel to the body plane. The angle (7) is made from a part of the body bottom to allow the overlapping of two consecutive plates and their connection by a common bar (8). The lateral plates are formed from a metal blank whose base is folded twice in a right angle to form the angle (7) parallel to the main body of the plate. One of the holes (9,10) for passage of the bars is oblong. The zone (11) connecting the body (5) and the angle (7) has a depth less than or at the most equal to the diameter of the belt spiral wires (3). USE/ADVANTAGE - Belts, used in high temperature conditions, are less susceptible to rupture at the connection between bars and plaques.
