PINCUSHION DISTORTION CORRECTING CIRCUIT

PURPOSE:To keep the correction amount of the pincushion distortion generated at the upper and lower sections constant by flowing the correction current in a coil provided to generate the magnetic flux in the same direction as the magnetic flux due to the vertical deflection current. CONSTITUTION:One end of a coil L4 of a saturable reactor 2 is connected to a coil L2, and the other end of which is connected to a variable power supply V0 so as to make the magnetic flux by the current which flows from the power supply V0 through a resistor R0 opposite each other in the coils L2 and L4. Thus, by matching the number of wirings of the coil L4 and that of the coil L2, the coil L2 can be prevented from being affected by the current of the variable power supply V0. Thus, the change of the correction amount of the pincushion distortion at the upper and lower sections of a cathode ray tube brought about by the DC current superimposed to the vertical deflection current for the vertical deflection position adjustment can be corrected.
