The present invention relates to a food dispenser, comprising a cold room 1, such as a freezer or a refrigerator, for storing the food portions, an oven 2, preferably a microwave oven, for heating the food portions, as well as transport means 7 - 13, 18, and an electric control unit 3 controlling these, so that the required food portion will automatically be moved from the cold room to the oven according to the instruction given by the user of the food dispenser. To enable the food dispenser to be cheap and simple and reliable in its construction, the transport means comprise lifting means 10 for moving the food portions, supported against gripping means 13, into the said cold room 1 by lifting, such that they are free from friction in three dimensions. <IMAGE>
