<p>PURPOSE:To prevent magnetic saturation of magnetic body and to suppress surge at the time of switching through downsizing. CONSTITUTION:A resistor 5 is placed in a current path through which current flows only at the time of switching and a magnetic body 6 is provided surrounding the current path. When a movable contactor 1B is driven to the right on the drawing by an open circuit command and separated from a current collector 3A, current flows through a fixed contactor 1A into the movable contactor 1B. The movable contactor 1B is eventually separated from the fixed contactor 1A and an arc 20 is fired again between the movable contactor 1B and an arc discharge electrode 7. Surge is produced by the restrike but the current is suppressed through the resistor 5 and the surge is absorbed by the magnetic body 6 which is not saturated by the current thus suppressed.</p> |
