摘要 PURPOSE:To make a system small in size, and light in weight in a electric system of an electric vehicle by a method wherein a charging circuit of an invertor input capacitor is made noncontact, and the number of high tension parts in the main circuit of the inverter is reduced. CONSTITUTION:The electric system is for an electric vehicle provided with a main battery for driving a vehicle, an auxiliary battery 100 for auxiliary equipment, and an inverter 4 having an input capacitor for smoothing, and drives an AC generator 5 for driving wheels by the main battery through the inverter 4. The system is provided with an initial discharge circuit 6 having an insulation type connection reactor 62, a semiconductor switch element 61 connected between a primary side of the reactor and the auxiliary battery 100, and a rectifier 63 connected between a secondary side of the connection reactor 62 and an input capacitor 41. By activating the discharge circuit 6, initial charging of the input capacitor 41 is effected through the main circuit of the inverter 4.
