The vice mechanism (4) clamps (1) on the filter (2) to enable its screwing or unscrewing by a clamp projection (3) for a separate lever. The vice may have two adjustable jaws (5,6) carrying three fingers to clamp on the filter cylinder body. The fingers may be fixed on support plates (15,16), mounted on guides (13), with clamp adjustment (10). The jaw adjustment may be by a knurled nut (17) operating a lead screw (8) and nut (9), displacing perpendicular to the finger longitudinal axis. One of the jaws carries the clamp projection, for lever operation. ADVANTAGE - Smaller than other filter tools and adjustable to filter size. The operating lever may be a standard spanner.
