A filtration module is claimed, in which ceramic filter elements (10) are glued into machined recesses in cover plates (11,12). This filter assembly fits inside a tubular steel envelope with top and bottom flanges. The glue is an epoxy, silicone, polypropylene or polyethylene formulation which compensates for differences in thermal expansion between steels and ceramics. A set of ceramic filter elements (10) is enclosed between an upper cover plate (11) and a lower cover plate (12) connected by a tubular steel envelope (13) with end flanges (14,15) and conventional O-ring seals (17). Liq. to be filtered flows through side-arms (16). USE/ADVANTAGE - For industrial ultra- and micro-filtration, esp. in the food industry. Avoids leaks and fractures due to differential thermal expansion, and reduces dead volumes.
