Low-ohmic electrical measuring resistance - uses two symmetrical terminals with stepped facing edges providing seating for inserted resistance element

The resistance has two terminals (2, 3) made of a high conductivity metal between which a number of coupling elements (4) and a resistance element (5) made of a resistance alloy are fitted. The terminals are symmetrical to one another, their facing side edges having a stepped profile to provide a reception seating for the resistance element with the coupling elements extending beneath the latter. Pref. the resistance element is soldered to the terminals after fitting in the reception seating via a hard solder inserted between the adjacent surfaces of the resistance element and the terminals, before separation of the coupling elements. ADVANTAGE - Suitable for simple mass prodn. with terminal sections for required voltage tapping.
