An electrical separator has loose hanging long sheet metal vertical panels (9, 13) upon which dust deposits and collects as the flow of dust rises. The sheet metal panels hang loosely from a metal frame (1). A sheet of restaining sheet metal (16) is affixed across the outer face of the collector panels by a heavy rivet (17) about which it may pivot such that its low end prevents the inadvertant removal of the dust collector sheet metal panels (9, 13) further that the inner face of the restraining panel (16) incorporates a projection (15) which locks the bent hanging rim (10) of the collector panels (9) in place. USE/ADVANTAGE - The restraining panel may be rotated to expose collector panels.
