The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for creating a three-dimensional effect, in which method the three-dimensional effect is created by viewing an object, for instance two disparate images (1, 2) by means of an optical aid. To provide a simple implementation, the first image (1) is viewed with one eye (3) in a normal manner without impediment and the second image (2) is viewed simultaneously with the other eye (4) by means of a separate optical aid (5) freely displaceable between the eye and the second image.
