PROCESS FOR ADJUSTING THE HEIGHT OF TOOLS OF BENT LEVER CLOSURE SYSTEMS, IN PARTICULAR IN INJECTION MOULDING MACHINES

A process is disclosed for adjusting the height of tools of bent lever closure systems, in particular injection moulding machines driven by an electric motor and having a bent lever driven mould closing unit. The end plate (8) and the die platen (2) moved by the bent lever mechanism (9) are at first brought to a sufficient distance from the fixed die platen (1). In that position the new tool is mounted. The bent lever mechanism (9) is then fully extended and the tool is closed by means of the end plate (8). The bent lever mechanism (9) is then driven back to a certain extent, opening the tool to a certain extent. Finally the tool is closed again by moving the end plate (8), whereas the geometry of the bent lever mechanism (9) remains stationary.
