The refuse containers (24) are picked up by the lifting arms (23) from in front of the vehicle and are lifted over the cab roof to tip into the collecting bin. The support frame for the lift and tilt arms is mounted on the chassis behind the cab and extends over the roof of the cab to the pivot points at the front top edge of the cab. The arms are hydraulically powered. The lift control holds the container upright until it reaches the tipping position. The double joined lift arms are controlled to keep the height to a min. over the cab. The containers are tipped into a collecting hopper (10) from where the refuse is pressed into the main part of the vehicle. |
