Piling system for pit or slope - uses press device to place pile panels between sloping ground and guide posts

One or more guide posts (4) are placed in the ground (6), and the ground is excavated to a certain depth at the post. A first pile panel (10) is positioned between the post and the slope (8) thus formed. A press device (14) is releasably connected to post and panel, so that it drives the panel into the ground. A second panel (18) is placed on the first between post and slope. The soil is excavated to a second depth to the lower edge of the first panel. The press device drives the first panel further into the ground, and is then connected to the second panel, to place it on the first. A thrust bearing (12) is fastened to the post, to guide the press device. USE/ADVANTAGE - Piling of pit or slope can be carried out without requiring large and high pile driver.
