A thermal print head controller in a video color printer controls the input of image data and regenerates multi images without a memory for memorizing image data according to image signal. The circuit comprises A/D converter (10) for converting the input analog image signal to digital image data line; line memory (20) for sub-sampling lines in an image by a ratio corresponding to the number of setting multi images, and sub-sampling image data lines by a ratio corresponding to the number of multi images; data half-dividing circuit (30) for outputting image data line from line memory (20) via first output terminal (O1) in multi image regeneration mode; data selector (40) for outputting image data line via output terminal (Y); thermal print head controller (50) for controlling the memory (20), the circuit (30), the selector (40); thermal print head (60) for memorizing image data in a memory media.
