The heater-cooler (9) forms the adjusting element of a regulating circuit, which uses the temperature dependency of the vapour pressure, so that its vapour pressure can be used as an exact generator of pressure or force. The temp. of the liquid is regulated, pref. at constant value. The opening of the container has a diaphragm (2) and/or a bellows, and/or piston and/or roll diaphragm. An electronic circuit is used for regulation. USE/ADVANTAGE - Eg for testing of pressure switches and sensors, pressure limiters, over-pressure valves and gas spring shock absorber. Pressure loading is dependent on deflection and is esp. accurately regulated electronically.
