Pipe length cutting machine with rotary tool - which is held in pipe inside and carries out cutting stroke radially outwards w.r.t. to inner face

The machine forms pipe sections by a rotary tool (1) and has a holder for securing the stationary pipe. The tool is located in the pipe (2) inside and carries out its cutting stroke radially in the direction of the pipe inner face. Pref. the tool is movable sequentially into different directions. The effective outer dia. is approx. 0.7 to 0.95 times of the pipe inner dia., pref. 0.85 to 0.55 times. The typical tool outer dia. is 0.52 times of the pipe inner dia. The tool may be moved in three different directions, e.g. spaced by 120 deg. USE/ADVANTAGE - For pipeline erection, with increased wash rate by improved tool guidance.
