The process for the production of ion-conductive and electron-conductive polymer films by means of a combination of direct or indirect ion-beam polymerisation and ion-beam mixing allows thin polymer films having a wide variety of functional properties to be produced economically and in an environmentally friendly manner. Entirely new areas of application are thus opened up to polymer films.
