<p>A float board 10, and method of manufacturing such a float board 10, comprises a hollow shell 12 of composite materials, usually carbon fibre reinforced plastics enclosing a core material 44, having internal support walls 20 and 24 to support the shell and divide the interior of the board 10 into separate watertight compartments 30, 32 and 34. Pressurisable bladders 50, 52 may be incorporated within each separate compartment 30, 32 and 34 to allow the buoyancy and rigidity of the board to be adjusted. <IMAGE></p> |
