<p>PURPOSE:To provide a method for removing carbon monoxide from an inert gas by adsorption using a simple device configuration. CONSTITUTION:At least, either of Pd or Pt, and at least, either one kind of alkali earth element, rate earth element excepting Ra and pre-transition element excepting Tc and Hf, iron family element, copper family element, Mg, Zn, B, Ga, In, Ge, Sn, Sb, or Bi, are allowed to be borne by a carrier within a range of 0.2 to 20wt.% respectively. At the same time, an inert gas to be treated including carbon monoxide is introduced into a tank filled with an adsorbent for removal of carbon monoxide which is rendered active by adsorption or bonding of oxygen. Thus the carbon monoxide in the gas is removed by adsorption.</p> |
