PURPOSE:To form a preformat on an information recording medium, such as an optical card, without using a stamper or the like that has been conventionally used. CONSTITUTION:A photosetting resin 2 is laminated on a substrate 1 and exposed to light through a mask 3 to have a required pattern. In this manner, cured parts 2p corresponding to said pattern and a pattern of uncured or half-cured parts 2q are formed on the resin 2. Next, a recording dye layer 4 is laminated on the resin 2. The reaction of the uncured or half-cured parts 2q with the dye causes the dye layer 4 to be discolored in the form of the pattern. In this manner, a preformat pattern is formed. |
