A relay switching matrix, e.g. of reed relays, is controlled by marking wires M1, M2, one for each row, and pairs of control wires such as U1, V1, a pair for each column, contained in common apparatus SS, and each relay is associated with four rectifiers in the manner shown. To energize a particular relay, e.g. K11, the column wire U1 is closed and the row wire M1 is opened, the circuit being between U1 and V1. The relay locks independently of U1, and a further holding circuit is made when M1 closes again. Thus the opening of both V1 and M1 is necessary in order to release the relay. |
