PURPOSE:To realize the rapid cooling of stored foodstuffs by internally providing storage cases in a heat insulation cabinet while leaving a predetermined space therebetween, permitting cold air to circulate through the interposed space to cool the interiors of the storage cases and providing a damper in cold air passage that sets up communication between the interposed space on the suction or discharge side of a fan and the storage cases. CONSTITUTION:Storage cases 22, 24 are disposed in a heat insulation cabinet 18 via a predetermined space, and cold air cooled by a cooler 28 is forcibly made to circulate by operation of fan 32 to cool the interiors of the storage cases 22, 24. In such a refrigerator, an electrically powered damper 56 for setting up and shutting off communication between the interior of the lower storage case 24 and a housing space 54 is provided in the housing space 54 dividedly formed by both a lateral material 52 and a shielding plate 48 in a horizontal passage 40 dividedly formed between both the storage cases 22, 24. Further, the fan 32 and an electrically powered damper 56 are provided in a chamber 39 divided by a partitioning wall 30 between an inner case 14 and the ceiling plane of the upper storage case 22. After foodstuffs are cooled down to a level of a predetermined temperature, operation at a constant temperature and in high humidity, which inhibits cold air from flowing into the storage cases 22, 24, is realized by the opening or closing control of the electrically powered damper 56 by means of a timer. |
