PURPOSE:To obtain an artificial blood vessel having an antithrombus property free from squeezing or kinking as caused by any external pressure by arranging an artificial blood vessel body and a spiral reinforced part provided successively in the perimeter thereof while the both are formed elastically. CONSTITUTION:This artificial blood vessel 11 has an artificial blood vessel body 11. The artificial blood vessel body, for example, employs polyethylene terephthalate and a polyester based polybutylene terephthalate elastomer as one component of a conjugate fiber respectively. The materials are melted individually with an extruder and run into a high temperature nozzle block to be formed into a tube using a nozzle for a conjugate fiber of a dorsabdominal structure. A reinforced part 13 is arranged on the outer circumferential surface of the artificial blood vessel 11, for example, as formed by winding a filament comprising an olefin elastomer spirally thereon and it 13 is welded on the artificial blood vessel body 12 by being heated at a specified temperature. Thus, the artificial blood vessel has higher resistance to squeezing and kinking. |
