PURPOSE:To correct the meandering of a belt-like material without wrinkling and flawing said material by ejecting fluid to the surface of a roll from ejection ports provided to the body part of the roll for conveyance to change the coefft. of friction on the surface of the roll for conveyance. CONSTITUTION:The belt-like material 2 is conveyed by the roll 6 for conveyance. The roll 6 is hollow and is provided with the many ejection ports 8 for ejection of the fluid penetrated from the inside in the body part 7 provided internally with a partition 9. A hole is penetrated in a shaft 10 and the fluid is supplied through a rotary joint 11 to the inside of the roll 6. A sensor 13 detects the position of the material 2. A control device 14 for the position of the belt-like material outputs a control signal to a control valve 12 for the flow rate of the fluid by receiving the signal from the sensor 13. The fluid subjected to the flow rate control is introduced into the roll 6 and is ejected from the ports 8 onto the surface of the roll 6 by which the coefft. of friction of the roll 6 surface is changed and the meandering of the conveying and traveling material 2 is corrected. |
