PURPOSE:To provide a manufacturing method of a refractory for continuous casting nozzle which can produce the continuous casting nozzle of a large size and with a thick form at an extremely high yield without giving no hindrance to the corrosion resistance, heat conductivity, spalling resistance, and the mechanical strength to bear mechanical loading and impact. CONSTITUTION:A compound of a heat resistant material which incorporates <=5wt.% total carbonaceous material and >=1 kind among Al2O3, SiO2, ZrO2, MgO and CaO in the remaining part and a spheric or particulate self-curing special high polymer phenol-formaldehyde resin having >=10,000 in the weight average molecular weight before hardening, being remarkably less in the methylol group and having a mild self-curing property as a binder, is mixed, kneaded, molded and fired. |
