PURPOSE:To enhance workability by a method wherein a protective sheet and a spring unit are integrally connected by foaming and expanding the foamable elastic material injected into a mold to form an elastic material with a predetermined thickness and a large number of through-holes are formed to the elastic material along the axial line of a spring by the pins formed to the mold so as to piece the elastic material up and down. CONSTITUTION:Since a cushioning member is formed in such a state that a spring unit 1, protective sheets 5 and elastomers 12 are integrally bonded, it is prevented that three of them are rubbed with each other during use to generate unpleasant sound. Further, the load applied to the elastomers 12 is widely dispersed and springs 2, the protective sheets 5 and the elastomers 12 are integrally cooperated without receiving local conc. load by the springs 2 to be elastically deformed to show good cushioning properties. Since a large number of through-holes 13 are provided to the elastomers 12, the air permeability in the spring unit 1 becomes good and, when this cushioning member is used in a matress, moisture is not stagnated in the matress and the matress can be sanitarily used. |
