摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a heat mode thermal transfer recording material having sensitivity suitable for laser beam, imparting a transfer image free from color turbidity and obtaining an image excellent in color reproducibility. CONSTITUTION:In a heat mode thermal transfer recording material characterized by that a photothermal conversion layer containing at least a solvent-soluble near infrared absorbing dye and a water-soluble ink layer are provided on a support, the solvent-soluble near infrared absorbing dye is dissolved in a solvent in an amount Of 0.1wt.% or more, the thickness of the photothermal conversion layer is 1.0mum or less, the absorbancy of the photothermal conversion layer at the max. absorption density of a wavelength of 700-1000nm is 0.3 or more, the ink layer contains a water-soluble binder, the thickness of the ink layer is 1.0mum or less and the transmissivity of a wavelength of 700nm or more at an absorption peak is 10% or less. The thickness of 1.0mum or less of the ink layer is a pref. mode because effect is more developed.
