PURPOSE:To provide an optical radio data transmitting system in which the number of transmission terminal equipments is increased, a communication enable range is expanded and the communication efficiency is improved. CONSTITUTION:In the system in which data are sent by using a light as a medium between MODEMs connected to terminal equipments 8, 8a-8n, the system is constituted of two kinds of MODEMs M1, M2, M3, etc., provided with a light emitting section 5 for transmission signal output, a light receiving section 11 receiving an output light from other MODEM, a decoder 2 decoding the received signal light, and a data processor 4, etc., decoding data decoded by the decoder, sending the data to a terminal equipment as necessary or applying the data from the terminal equipment to the light emitting section via a modulator 6, and MODEMs Mo, M7, etc., having a frequency converter 3 converting the frequency of the signal received by the light receiving section and outputting the converted signal to the light emitting section to implement a relay operation. |
