The appts. comprises a threaded stud (3A) sealed into the wall of the vessel or pipeline containing the liquid to be measured. The stud (3A) contains a non-return valve formed from a spring loaded plunger (10). The plunger is raised by a spring (5) when the sensor is removed, sealing the valve. When the sensor is in place, the plunger (10)is depressed allowing liquid to pass to the sensor for measurement of temperature, pressure or density. USE/ADVANTAGE - Measurement of parameters of liquid in sealed vessels, allowing maintenance and calibration of sensor without access to inside of vessel.
