PURPOSE:To provide a capsule type toner having a uniformly dispersed coloring material and two layer structure or continuous multilayer structure without using a dispersing agent by using a self water dispersible resin and a non-self water dispersible resin. CONSTITUTION:The capsule toner is made by using the self water dispersible resin, the non-self water dispersible resin and the coloring agent and having the multilayer structure the outer layer of which is made of the self water dispersible resin and the method for producing the toner is constituted by phase inversion emulsifying an oily liquid mixture composed of the three basic component, forming particles in the water medium and separating the particles from the water medium and drying. Because the toner particle having the multilayer structure uses a soft resin in the core part and the other hand, uses a hard resin in the shell part, the toner particle particularly excellent in low temp. fixation is obtained. |
