The circuit breaker has fixed (1) and moving (2) arc contacts which are in tubular form and have a concave PTFE closure device (21) attached to the moving contact. The fixed contact is joined to the blower channel (3) which is a single piece comprising three sections (31, 32, 33), spaced longitudinally along the bus and interconnected by cross-pieces (34). Each section has a divergent exterior and at least one has an annular metallic electrode (35) at the inner end so as to divide up the arc. The closure device confines the gas to a small volume and raises the pressure to improve the blowing. ADVANTAGE - Reduced number of chambers, valuable for distant line faults.
