PURPOSE:To obtain a linear actuator utilizing piezoelectric characteristics which can be manufactured in a mass at a low cost. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 104 is laid out in a ceramic green sheet 102 which can be deformed freely to constitute electrical mechanical conversion element, one part of the piezoelectric ceramic green sheet 102 is fixed to a fixing stand 106 (it is fixed on the left surface of a protruding part 108 of the fixing stand 106), and at the same time a non-fixed part is expanded and contracted repeatedly, thus driving an object to be transported. Wiring is performed so that a part C is contracted and at the same time a part B is expanded and a part D is contracted when part A is expanded (first state) and the part C is expanded and at the same time the part B is contracted and the part D is expanded when the part A is contracted (second state). As a result, by repeating the first and second states alternately, an object 110 to be transported is moved in right direction in figure. |
