POWER UNIT FOR PORTABLE COMPUTER

摘要

PURPOSE:To run the power control section by means of only the power battery without providing an auxiliary power source on the power control section by assuring that the computer is not stopped even when the battery being in use is removed erroneously. CONSTITUTION:The power unit is provided with a power controller 3 controlling the power supply section, discharge switches 2a and 2b one end of which is connected to the power battery and the other end of which is connected to a DC/DC converter 4, and delay section 5 comparing the input voltage of the converter 4 with the reference voltage and outputting the control voltage of the discharge switches 2a and 2b which are turned on until the section 3 completes the operation selecting the normal power batteries 1a and 1b.
