<p>PURPOSE:To provide a character recognizing device capable of outputting character data and image data from the same port. CONSTITUTION:The character recognizing device is provided with an optical scanner 12 for outputting a character as image data, a recognizing processing part 16 for recognizing the character from the image data and outputting character data, a communication processing part 15 for controlling the scanner 12 and the processing part 16, and a selector circuit 13 for receiving the image data and the character data respectively from the scanner 12 and the processing part 16, outputting the image data to a communication IF 14 based upon a select signal outputted from the processing part 15 and then outputting the character data, or outputting only the character data to the IF part 14.</p> |
