PURPOSE:To obtain the KARAOKE device of simple configuration, which can play BGM when no KARAOKE accompaniment is played, at a low price by using performance information in common for both KARAOKE accompaniments and BGM. CONSTITUTION:A KARAOKE accompaniment and a BGM performance are switched with a selection switch and a BGM switch. For example, when the BGM performance is indicated with the BGM switch, specific KARAOKE data stored on a floppy disk 18 are selected and loaded in a RAM 16. Then sound volume specified with the sound volume data of the performance data is multiplied by the rate of variation stored in a BGM performance sound volume data storage area to control a sound source system 28. Further, the timbre number of the timbre data of guide tone data is converted by using a timbre table and a timbre selection signal indicating the converted timbre number is sent out to the sound source system 28. Consequently, a performance matching BGM is obtained. |
