<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the satisfactory responsiveness of a cursor on an image plane for a remote controller by eliminating complexity in operability and simplifying computation for the position detection of a transmission means. CONSTITUTION:A cursor controller in a television receiver 3 which controls the motion of the cursor displayed on the image plane is equipped with the transmission means 1 which transmits infrared rays, a receiving means 4 provided at the front of the television receiver 3 and which detects the infrared rays from the transmission means 1, an arithmetic means 8 which calculates the change quantity of reception input by the receiving means 4, a decision means 7 which decides whether or not the change quantity calculated by the arithmetic means 8 is within a prescribed threshold value, and a control means 10 which controls the travel of the cursor on the image plane corresponding to the change quantity.</p> |
