Flame spray guns comprise a body 1 having a recess 2 in which are maintained in concentric relation by means of a clamping member 5 a spray nozzle 4 defining a combustion chamber 11 which is provided with ignition means 12 and a nozzle 3 for mixing an oxidant and a fuel gas and delivering said mixture and a spray fluid to the combustion chamber, the body being provided with annular supply ducts 13, 19, 23 for the oxidant, fuel gas and spray fluid and the flow outlets of the supply ducts being selectively controlled by distribution means constituted by a slide valve 28. The valve may comprise a plate 28 with one or more ports for each duct, and the plate may be controlled by pistons subject to the action of a driving fluid. The plate may be mounted in block 26 attached to the body and provided with sealing means 39.</p> |
