<p>A method for prophylaxis of obstructive or inflammatory airways disease is claimed, which involves administering cpds. of formula (I)-(IV). For cpd. (I) either: (A) V = R1-C; T = R2-C; W = H-C. R1 = H, halo, ethynyl, OH, CN, -NR6R8, -CO2R6 or -CONR6R7. R2 = H, halo, 1-4C alkoxy, OH or NR6R8, or one of R1 and R2 = NO2 and the other is as above. (B) V = N; T = R2-C; W = HC. (C) V = R1'-C; T = H-C; W = N, where R1' = H, CN or NO2. (D) V = N; T = H-C; W = N. R3, R4 = independently H or 1-4C alkyl, or R3 and R4 = together -(CH2)n-, where n = 2-5. R5 = OR8; R9, R10 = independently H or Me or together = oxo- or thio; m = 1-3. X = O or NR11. Y = CH, C-halogen, N, C-formyl or C-hydroxymethyl. Z = CH2, O, S, CH-halogen or R6.</p> |
