PURPOSE:To display a lot of information easily visibly by displaying a character at the end of a preceding row and a row head interdiction character at the end of the row in half- sized characters when the row head interdiction character is positioned at the head of the row. CONSTITUTION:A main control part is provided with a row head interdiction character detection part 205 for discriminating whether or not the row head interdiction character is present at the head of the row, a conversion discrimination part 206 for discriminating whether or not the character at the end of the row can be converted to the half-sized character, an interdiction character conversion discrimination part 207 for discriminating whether or not the row head interdiction character can be converted to the half-sized character, a half- sized character conversion part 208 for converting the character at the end of the row to the half-sized character and an interdiction character conversion part 209 for converting the row head interdiction character to the half-sized character to be moved to the preceding row, etc. Then, when the character at the head of the row is the row head interdiction character, the character and the character at the end of the preceding row are converted to the half-sized characters and the row head interdiction character is moved after the half-sized character at the end of the row when they can be displayed in the half-sized characters and the character at the end of the preceding row is moved before the row head interdiction character when they can not be displayed in the half-sized characters. |
