The seats of the vehicle have their backs (1) articulated round a horizontal axle near their upper part. They are raised and then rocked into a horizontal position. Each back is joined to a shaft which is immobilised axially between its supports. A stud is pushed into a hole in the shaft by a spring to immobilise it. The shaft can have two holes into which the stud can penetrate to lock the back in its horizontal or vertical position. USE - To transform seats of vehicles into bunk beds by pivoting their backs.
