PURPOSE:To switch data without a momentary break by preventing the phase of a virtual container from being discontinuous at the time of switching between an intra-device frame signal of a system 0 and that of a system 1. CONSTITUTION:A pointer value comparing part 109 compares an intra-device frame pointer value signal 213 of a local system with an intra-device frame pointer value signal 214 of the other system to generate a stuff request signal 215, and this signal 215 is inputted to a selector 108. A stuff request signal 212 from the selector 108 is inputted to a memory read control part 107, and a memory read address signal 210 is outputted from the memory read control part 107 to an elastic memory part 101. A stuff request signal 211 due to the phase difference between write and read of the elastic memory part 101 from a memory phase comparing part,106 is inputted to the selector 108 also. Based on a master/slave indication signal 216, the stuff request signal 212 is substituted with the stuff request signal 211 in the case of the slave operation. |
