PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption and to make an endurance limit long by completing an image forming action and then, stopping the drive of a cooling fan, in a state where the temperature of an image forming element is lowered to a prescribed one. CONSTITUTION:When printing processing is completed, a controller 31 outputs a command to turn off a heater to a microcomputer 32, so that the microcomputer 32 outputs a heater OFF signal to a heater switching part 34, to turn off the heater. Therefore, the temperature of a fixing unit is gradually lowered, and the information of the temperature is inputted into the microcomputer 32 from a thermistor 38. Moreover, the temperature of a toner housing part in the image forming element and the developing unit, on the surroundings, is lowered together with the drop of the temperature of the fixing unit, as well. When the temperature of the fixing unit is lowered up to the prescribed one, the microcomputer 32 outputs the OFF signal of a cooling fan driving motor 36, to stop the drive of the cooling fan. |
