<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the liquid crystal display device constituted by using matrix array substrates without increasing a photolithographic stage as compared with heretofore and without generating unequal transmittance by the variation in the film thickness of metals. CONSTITUTION:At least one of a pair of the substrates facing each other via a liquid crystal clamped therebetween of the liquid crystal display device consist of the matrix array substrates each constituted by disposing plural nonlinear resistance elements 20 having three-layered structures composed of a conductor- insulator-conductor disposed with the two conductors 16, 17 at prescribed intervals on the insulator 14, disposing respective pixel electrodes 16 in series on the respective nonlinear resistance elements 20 and further, connecting respective row or column directions by wiring electrodes 17. In addition, light transparent conductors 12 are provided in the lower parts of the insulators 14, by which the above-mentioned purpose is attained.</p> |
