PURPOSE:To discriminate between an original surface and an external frame from a copied image and to suppress the relief of a mask portion at a center part by replacing the image signal within a mask range by the signal showing & prescribed density which is higher than a non-recording level. CONSTITUTION:This image processor is provided with a mask processing means 50A including a means 51 generating the gate signal showing a mask range and a means 53 replacing the image signal within the mask range shown by the signal in response to the gate signal by the signal showing prescribed density which is higher than a non-recording level. The mask processing means 50A replaces the image signal within the mask range by the signal showing prescribed density which is higher than the non-recording level. Further, by being provided with a means 53E selecting and setting the recording density of a mask area, a mask density selection for clarifying the discrimination between an original surface and an external frame more and a mask density selection for suppressing the relief of a mask portion at a center part more are possible. In this case, preferably, the density selections of the recording density of an external mask area and the center part mask area are performed separately. |
