PURPOSE:To simplify a circuit configuration of a switching regulator, by using one of switching elements both as the switching element for controlling the energy storage to a capacitor and the energy exhaust from the capacitor and as the switching element for so ON-OFF controlling the average value of an AC input current as to be proportional to an AC input voltage. CONSTITUTION:A switching element Q2 combines the function of the switching element for storing an energy in a choke coil L2 with its original function. Also, a diode D7 combines the function of the flywheel diode provided in the path for exhausting the energy stored in the choke coil L2 with its original function. Therefore, in the term wherein the switching element Q2 is in ON-state, the energy is stored in the choke coil L2. Also, in the term wherein the switching element Q2 is in OFF-state, the energy stored in the choke coil L2 is exhausted via the diode D7, and it is fed to capacitors C1, C3, C4, and to a DC-DC converter. Thereby, the circuit configuration of a switching regulator can be simplified. |
