摘要 The system for an IC engine (1) has a time relationship detector determining the relationship of time durations corresp. to set angle intervals. These intervals lie before and after a determined reference angle of a reference duration signal, which is given by an output unit. A faulty ignition judgement unit is provided for comparing the relationship of the time durations with a set value. The judgement unit establishes that a faulty ignition has occurred, if the relationship of the time durations is greater than the set value. If the relationship of the time durations is not greater than the set value, no faulty ignition has occurred. A unit alters the detection of the time corresp. to the set angle intervals, corresp. to the engine revolution speed. ADVANTAGE - Simple construction. Occurrence of faulty ignition can be determined in wide operating range of engine.
